What is LessonOnCall (LOC)?

LOC is a video conferencing platform that acts as a conduit for Learner and Lesson Providers.

How do I sign up for a lesson?

Learners register online and log in using their username and password. When Learners are logged in successfully, they can such for preferred lessons and choose a lesson schedule to attend lessons.

How do Lesson Providers register?

Lesson Providers register online. After reviewing the registration, a LOC team member will issue an approval to the lesson provider to create their profile.

Are lessons delivered in a group or one on one?

The concept of LOC is to deliver group based lessons for between 4 and 6 Learners per lesson. This ensures maximum benefit for Learners and allows for more interaction with the Lesson Provider.

Who is a Lesson Provider?

A Lesson Provider is someone who provides online lessons to Learners. Lesson Providers can be an individual or a member of an organisation/institute.

Who are Learners?

Learners are groups of people attending a lesson provided by Lesson Providers.

Who is eligible to join LOC?

Learners above the legal age in their state are eligible to join LOC. However, Lesson Providers are responsible for ensuring that the Learners are selected for the right level and not disruptive to other Learners.

How much do I pay for a Lesson? And who do I pay to?

The Lesson Provider sets the lesson fee. The Learner pays the Lesson Provider via their PayPal account.

What if the classes do not run? What is your refund policy?

If the Lesson Provider cancels the class, LOC will refund the money back to the Learner’s PayPal account.

What is your cancellation policy?

LOC charges the class fee to the Learner 24 hours prior to the registered class starting time. If the Learner wishes to cancel their registered class, they must do so 24 hours before the start of the class.

For example, if the Learner registers for a class starting on 23 February 2013 at 6:00 pm, they have an option to cancel by 22 February 2013 at 6:00 pm, at the very latest. If the Learner does not cancel on or before 22 February 2013 at 6:00 pm, they will forfeit the class fee.

I want to do a lesson right now. What do I do?

Register online immediately; log in as Learner and click on lesson schedule to register attendance for your desired lesson.

For Lesson Providers, click on Lesson Provider Registration on the home page.

How do I know the Lesson Providers are legitimate?

Lesson Providers are regularly screened by LOC team. LessonOnCall reserves the right to revoke registration if Lesson Providers are detected of any breaches.

What is the duration of a lesson?

Lesson duration is up to the Lesson Provider to ensure the learning content is covered in the duration scheduled.

What if I need help?

Is the material published on LOC appropriate to be viewed by younger audience?

Parental approval is required for younger audiences to ensure appropriate level of learning. It is highly recommended that parents review the Lesson Provider profile prior to registering their child for any lessons.

Will I be able to see or hear other Learners?

Yes, once on the conference call, you will be able to see and hear other Learners.

Do I need special software to use LessonOnCall platform?

You do not require any special software to use LessonOnCall platform. You just need latest version of Google Chrome browser to access all features. Google Chrome can be downloaded free of charge.

What sort of hardware is required to use LessonOnCall Platform?

Any standard PC running Windows operating system or Apple operating system will be sufficient. Minimum system requirement is 2 GB RAM, 1 GHZ Processor. You will also require good quality webcam. HD web camera are preferred but they are not compulsory requirement.

Is there any costs associated with using LessonOnCall platform?

Only cost is the cost for the lesson Provider. There is no Platform usage cost.
